The reel also features commercials and motion graphics work from the likes of Buck and Bipolar Studio, along with Lithuania’s Korb and Brazil’s Vetor Zero, although we haven’t seen any technical breakdowns.īreakdown videos are also less common for architectural visualizations than for visual effects projects, but the 2022 V-Ray Architecture Showeel still features a range of gorgeous work. While the 2022 reel features some eye-catching game cinematics from Blur Studio and Capsule, one of the best project breakdowns is from Goodbye Kansas Studios‘ cinematic for PUBG: Battlegrounds (above). Short-form VFX and animation: cinematics, commercials and motion graphics We’ve found fewer making-ofs for the broadcast projects, but Ghost VFX has some very nice VFX breakdowns on its YouTube channel, including its Emmy Award-winning work for Star Trek: Discovery. The studio has some great technical breakdowns of the movies featured on the V-Ray showreel, including Spider-Man: No Way Home, Morbius and Doctor Strange in the Metaverse of Madness (above).

Chaos has posted its 2022 V-Ray showreels, one for VFX and one for architecture: both beautiful showcases of the best new work created with the production renderer for 3ds Max, Maya, Cinema 4D and Houdini.
