For most of them, I use the copyright date on the box or instruction sheet. I've also made a stab at the issue date of the kit. Most of the kits listed are injection molded plastic. If there's a green dot ( ) in front of the kit name, then the link includes not only the boxart, but also full sized scans of the instructions, decals, and maybe some additional stuff.
